Admission to the MSHA program takes place each Fall and Spring semester. Approximately 30-40 students are admitted each Fall and another 15-20 students are admitted each Spring.
The admissions process is competitive. Admission decisions are based on combination of academic background, professional experience, statement of purpose, and letters of recommendation.
The minimum requirement for admission to the MSHA program is a 3.0 undergraduate GPA for domestic students and a 3.2 undergraduate GPA for international students. However, the average GPA for an incoming student in the program is a 3.4.
Our students have an average of 2+ years of work experience before entering the program. While work experience in healthcare is not required for admission to the program, we expect that students applying to the program express a strong rationale for why they want to enter the healthcare industry in their statement of purpose in lieu of healthcare work experience.
