NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE!

The 21st Annual Charger Classic is a major fundraiser for the Department of Athletics and the University of New Haven as a whole. The proceeds from the Charger Classic help to fund capital projects which benefit all of the Charger Athletic teams and help us enhance the game-day experiences of our loyal fans, faculty, staff and the local community who support UNH student-athletes. The goal for 2011 is to reach the $200,000 mark.

In recent years, the Charger Classic has helped fund improvements to press box facilities at DellaCamera Stadium and helped complete a press box and bleachers at Kayo Field last summer. The Department of Athletics has now turned its attention to the baseball and softball fields. The goal is to turn these two facilities into two of the best in the region by upgrading to a stadium-style playing atmosphere. Upgraded seating and dugouts are planned at both fields, while the addition of a press box at the softball field will complete the project.
