Kim Foster

Alma Mater: Cortland State, 1993

Kim Foster enters her seventh season as a member of the University of New Haven coaching staff, dating back to 1999. Foster has been responsible for coaching the team’s passers and outside hitters, as well as serving as the team’s strength & conditioning coach. She is a certified personal trainer and fitness director at the New England Athletic Club and an adjunct professor in the physical education department at Central Connecticut State University.

During her tenure at UNH under head coach Robin Salters, the Chargers have made six trips to the NCAA Tournament, including last season’s regional berth. She coached on two Elite Eight teams, in both 1999 and 2002.

Foster joined the Chargers staff after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Minnesota State University - Mankato, where she earned a Master’s degree in Exercise Science.

Prior to her stint at Minnesota State, Kim was an assistant coach for four seasons at Stony Brook University. There, she assisted in planning practices, developing game strategy and specialized in coaching the outside hitters. She also assisted in the recruiting of student-athletes and scouting opponents.
