This week was extremely successful, we put two more games in the W column. Tuesday night we played Adelphi University and made an unbelievable comeback in the last 12 minutes and won 4-3. Later in the week we ventured up to Vermont to play St. Michael's College and won 1-0 thanks to Alexa's goal in overtime.

Friday we went as a team to the Women's Volleyball "Dig for a Cure" game. They collected donations and raised money for fighting breast cancer. They had a great conference win against Adelphi that day.

After the game we had to get on the bus and head up to Vermont. We shared the bus with the men's soccer team who were also playing St. Mike's on Saturday. The bus was really packed but somehow the two smallest kids on the team (me and holly dawson) wound up with our own seats while everyone else had to double up. We watched a few movies on the way up and made a stop in Massachusetts for some dinner. There were a few different opinions on where we should eat but in the end we worked it out.

We got to Vermont pretty late, I was surprised I stayed awake the whole ride on the bus seeing as it was way past my bedtime. Once we got there, we checked into the hotel and got settled into our rooms. My roommate for the night was Shannon. We were both tired so we watched a few minutes of stand up comedy and then passed out.

It was raining and cold the entire weekend, which was miserable. I'm sure Manya was missing LA's sunshine, but we put on our massive black jackets and braved the weather. For such a far game away from home, we had a great amount of support from parents that travelled up to Vermont to watch us play. They also braved the weather and sat in the rain into overtime. Their support (and snacks after the game) are much appreciated!

The bus ride home was long but everyone was in a good mood since we won. I wasn't a fan of the movies that we watched on the way down, so I spent most of the time looking at the picture Ali drew for me, playing with Alexa's iphone (which I have no idea how to use), and taking pictures of Lucy sleeping.

In my blog from a few weeks ago I mentioned that we started off the season with four straight wins. I also said in order to make the conference tournament we needed to go out and win the last four games of our season. We have successfully accomplished that goal and are currently in 6th place in the NE10 conference. Since we are one game ahead of some teams in our conference we won't know exactly what place we finish in until after the rest of the games are played. We are waiting until Wednesday night to find out the results of the other game and to find out where we finished in the conference.

Until next week - Emily
