Niles, Hilaire Named Athletes of the Year at University of New Haven 2008-09 Athletics Banquet
(04-26-09) WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven held its Athletics Awards Banquet on Sunday, April 26 at Charger Gymnasium, where over 200 student-athletes were honored for their participation in 2008-09. The event culminated with the announcement that seniors Rhe-Ann Niles (women's volleyball) and James Hilaire (men's soccer) were chosen as the UNH Female and Male Athletes of the Year.

Women’s Basketball Concludes Season in NE-10 Quarterfinals
(03-03-09) WALTHAM, Mass. – The University of New Haven women’s basketball team fell 69-54 to (3) Bentley University Tuesday night in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship Tournament quarterfinals. With the loss the Chargers conclude their 2008-09 season with a record of 16-13, Bentley moves on to the semifinals with a record of 20-10.

Chargers Advance in NE-10 Tournament with 80-74 Win at Assumption
(03-01-09) WORCESTER, Mass. - The 11th seeded University of New Haven women's basketball team defeated the sixth seeded Assumption College Greyhound 80-74 Sunday afternoon at Laska Gymnasium. With the win, the Chargers advance to the Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) Tournament quarterfinals at Bentley University on Tuesday night. The Chargers improve to 16-12 on the season, while the Greyhounds conclude their season at 15-13.
