First SeasonJess Kohut joins the UNH coaching staff following a four-year playing career at the College of New Jersey. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Management of Sport Industries.
As a student-athlete, Kohut earned NJAC Rookie Player and Pitcher of the Week honors and finished in the top-5 in the conference in hitting (.397), earning her Second Team All NJAC honors. She was also named Second Team Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-East as a freshman. As a sophomore, Kohut earned Second Team All-NJAC honors, and after having to sit out much of her junior season because of an injury, she returned to action as a senior and earned the 2007 Honda Inspiration Award.
Following her playing career, Kohut served as an assistant coach at Drew University, helping the team to its most successful season in school history. She worked directly with the pitchers and watched the team’s number one starter break the school record for single-season strikeouts.
