Assistant CoachAfter completing two seasons as a graduate assistant coach, David Faugno became an assistant after graduating with his master's degree in Management of Sports Industries in the spring. He graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in May, 2007, with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition.
Faugno serves as the team's strength & conditioning secialist as well as training the team's goalkeepers, among other duties. In his first season with UNH in 2007, goalkeeper James Hilaire was named First Team All-Conference. In 2008, Hilaire earned All-Northeast-10 Conference Third Team honors.
Faugno played for Southern Connecticut State from 2003-2006, and served as the Owls' top goalkeeper in 2005. That season, he allowed just 16 goals in 18 games (0.90 GAA) and had a 77.8 save percentage along with six shutouts as SCSU went 10-4-4.
He served as Southern's strength & conditioning coach for the team's offseason training program beginning January, 2007, and has also served as a fitness instructor for many of the top clubs in Connecticut. Faugno has been a coach for the past five years for both the Stamford and Monroe Youth Soccer Leagues.
