David Faugno joins UNH as a graduate assistant coach, and will be pursuing a master’s degree in Management of Sports Industries. He graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in May, 2007, with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition.

Faugno will serve as the team’s strength & conditioning specialist as well as training the team’s goalkeepers, among other duties.

"I’m really happy to join UNH and I’m looking forward to working with the team," Faugno said. "We have a good atmosphere here, an environment where I can help to continue building this program. I have personal experience playing against UNH, and we have very talented individuals here. I’m looking forward to working with them."

Faugno played for Southern Connecticut State from 2003-2006, and served as the Owls’ top goalkeeper in 2005. That season, he allowed just 16 goals in 18 games (0.90 GAA) and had a 77.8 save percentage along with six shutouts as SCSU went 10-4-4.

He served as Southern’s strength & conditioning coach for the team’s offseason training program beginning January, 2007, and has also served as a fitness instructor for Victory Soccer in New Haven. Faugno has been a coach for the past five years for both the Stamford and Woodbridge Youth Soccer Leagues.
