Norm de Silva

First Season

Babson, 2009

Norm de Silva enters his first season as graduate assistant with the University of New Haven men's basketball program for the 2009-10 season.

Prior to UNH, de Silva worked as a basketball skills trainer for the Attack Athletics in Chicago, Ill. He worked directly with NBA players such as Dwayne Wade, Tracy McGrady and Devin Harris executing individual instructions and training programs. In addition, he worked with various student-athletes from elite basketball schools such as North Carolina, Syracuse, West Virginia and UCLA. While at Attack Athletics, de Silva studied and broke down film of NBA games for film projects with the NBA accessible only program, Synergy Sports Tech. He also created video clip compilations for clients to use and study of footwork as well as for use in scouting game situations.

A 2009 graduate of Babson College, de Silva was a member of the basketball team, starting at guard. In his freshmen year, de Silva was named to the Babson Invitational tournament team. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business management and a double minor in finance and science in society.

De Silva is currently pursing his Masters of Science in Management of Sports Industries at the University of New Haven.
