Experience the World Through Study Abroad
The Study Abroad program provides academic opportunities for students to develop an intercultural understanding necessary for meaningful interaction with people from various cultures, leading to productive and successful contributions to the global community.
A World of Options
Students satisfy the Study Abroad element through faculty-identified international tracks; international internships; international service learning; international short-term or summer programs; faculty-led international, local, and national programs; or the Freshman Semester Abroad program.

Study Abroad Initiatives at UNH
International Exchange Opportunities
The University of New Haven offers an opportunity to study abroad through Exchange programs. Students register for twelve credits of Study Abroad at UNH and then attend at the partner institution. Current partners include Roehampton University (Germany) and Jaen University (Spain).
Faculty-Led International Study
This initiative supports faculty-led efforts to develop and promote group international study programs.
Freshman Semester Abroad Program
UNH students now have the opportunity to spend one semester of their first year studying at Roehampton University, an outstanding university just outside London.
International Tracks
In an effort to incorporate study abroad opportunities into existing University majors, the UNH faculty hopes to eventually identify an international track for each and every degree program at the University.
