Applicants to the University of New Haven Graduate School are required to hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Admission decisions are based primarily on an applicant's undergraduate record. A prospective student who is currently completing undergraduate study should submit an official transcript complete to the date of application. In most cases, an admission decision will be made on the basis of a partial transcript, contingent upon completion of the baccalaureate degree. Full candidacy for the master's degree will not be granted until a final, official transcript is submitted.
Getting In
If you're ready to launch your UNH experience, there's no reason to delay. Our trimester schedule begins three times during the year (in September, January, and April), and there's also a fourth term condensed into seven weeks in the summer. While certain programs are limited to fall admission only (such as MS Forensic Science and MS Cellular and Molecular Biology), most are open to admissions in any term. Email the Office of Graduate Admissions for more information on admissions policies, program requirements, and Open Houses.
