(10-26-09) SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - The University of New Haven men's basketball team was picked to finish 15th in the 2009-10 Northeast-10 Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll which was released Tuesday by the conference office.
The Chargers finished 8-19 overall and 6-16 in the NE-10 last season and look to improve this year with the return of three starters.
The poll was released Tuesday with Merrimack tabbing the preseason favorites with 214 points and seven first place votes. Bentley finished second with 212 points and seven first place votes as well. UMass Lowell with 191 points, Le Moyne with 189 points and Stonehill with 164 points rounded out the top five.
The Chargers open the 2009-10 season on Sunday, November 15 at Molloy College.
