(10-10-09) BOSTON, Mass. - The University of New Haven cross country teams competed at the 2009 New England Cross Country Championships Saturday at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. The UNH women's team finished 37th, while the men came in 42nd place.
Leading the way for the women and finishing in 158th place overall was Lauren DiMitruck with a time of 19:58. Dominique Stasulli finished secind with a 173rd place finish and a time of 20:11. Melissa Tempesta and Tania Bernardino finished in third and fourth on the team with times of 20:31 and 21:28.
On the men's side, Matt Dunham led the was with a 207th place finish and a time of 27:10. Samuel Montclair finished second on the team, two places behind Dunham, with a time of 27:11. Ryan Freitas (27:51), Arnold Lane (28:48) and James Foley (29:41) rounded out the Chargers top five finishers.
The Chargers return to action in two weeks at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships in Colchester, Vt. on Sunday, October 25.
