(10-10-09) WOODBRIDGE, Conn. - The University of New Haven women's tennis team dropped a non-conference match to Molloy College 5-4 Saturday afternoon at Amity High School. The Chargers fall to 1-5 on the season, with two matches remaining on the '09 fall schedule.
The Chargers earned singles points in third singles with a win by Noelle Polhemus (6-0, 6-1), fifth singles by Chelsea Annese (6-1, 6-0) and sixth singles by Mariana Zahora (6-4, 4-6, 7-5).
The Chargers' fourth point came from a first doubles victory by Lauren Lyons and Polhemus who took an 8-6 victory.
The Chargers return to action on Friday, October 16 when they travel to Franklin Pierce for a 4 p.m. match.
