(09-12-09) LOWELL, Mass. - The University of New Haven women's volleyball team split two matches Saturday at the Bentley University Invitational, which is bring hosted by UMass Lowell. The Chargers defeated Georgian Court in three sets in their evening match, but fell in five sets to the University of Bridgeport.

In their first match of the day, UNH fell 15-25, 15-25, 25-19, 25-23, 6-15 to the University of Bridgeport. Keidy Candelaria led the Chargers with 14 kills, while Sara Malmlov tallied 11 kills and 23 digs. Chelsey Alpough handed out 27 assists.

In the second match, UNH defeated Georgian Court, 26-24, 25-21, 25-17 to earn their fourth win of the season. Keidy Candelaria led the Chargers with 16 kills in the match. Sara Malmlov and Elizabeth Akinbiyi each tallied 12 kills for the Chargers. Candelaria and Heather Ladao each registered 12 digs to lead the team, while Chelsey Alpough handed out 38 assists.

The Chargers return to action tomorrow when they take on Rollins College as they conclude the Bentley Invitational. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
