(04-27-09) SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - University of New Haven women's tennis student-athlete Alison Mahony has been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Third Team in fifth singles which was announced on Sunday.
Mahony led the Chargers this season with an 8-5 overall record in singles and a 4-5 combined record in doubles. The sophomore went 7-3 in fifth singles, including a 7-2 mark in NE-10 action. She also went a perfect 2-0 when paired with Amanda Foley in doubles action.
The Chargers concluded their 2008-09 season on April 19, 2009 with an overall record of 2-11. Mahony is the Chargers first-ever All-NE-10 selection and will return next season with the entire UNH team who does not lose a senior.
