(04-20-09) NEW HAVEN, Conn. - On Sunday over 50 University of New Haven student-athletes from three different sports participated in a community engagement clean up event at Dover Beach along the Quinnipiac River.
UNH student-athletes teamed up with student-athletes from Southern Connecticut State University and Albertus Magnus in a day of clean up at the park.
The event was sponsored by the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Sports Council. The goal of the project was to clean up an area where over 100 children live so that they can play in a clean environment.
