(04-19-09) WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven women's tennis team dropped their final two matches of the 2008-09 season Sunday afternoon. The Chargers fell 9-0 to St. Michael's in their first match on Sunday and dropped their second of the day to St. Anselm by a score of 8-1.
In second singles of their second match of the day Noelle Polhemus earned the Chargers point. She took the opening set of her match up 6-3 and the second set 6-1. The Chargers also came close in fourth singles and sixth singles against St. Anselm. Each of the Chargers doubles match ups against St. Anselm were also close.
The Chargers conclude the season with a 2-11 overall record and a 1-11 Northeast-10 Conference record.
