(01-10-09) NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the 29th Yale Intercollegiate Track Classic.
Kevin Downing led the Chargers with a second place finish in the men's 60 meter dash. With a time of 6.96 seconds, Downing placed second in the finals. Sylvestre Maldonado finished 19th in the 400 meter dash finals with a time of 51.97.
For the Charger women, Angela Colandrea finished in eighth place in the 60 meter hurdles finals with a time of 9.97, while Alesha Chu Foo placed 10th with a time of 10.12. Shannon Gagne placed 13th in the finals of the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.04.

The Chargers women's track tream returns to action on Friday, January 16 at the University of Rhode Island Sorlein Invitational. The next day, Saturday, January 17 the men's team will compete in the Sorlein Invitational.
