WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven Athletic Department hosted a West Haven Parks and Recreation Day on the UNH campus Thursday morning.
Young boys and girls from around the city who are enrolled in the summer program at the West Haven Parks and Recreation department participated in many events which were put together by the UNH coaching staff.
Nearly 150 kids from around the area were taught skills from UNH lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, softball, basketball, baseball and football coaches. The kids were also took their best shots in the new David A. Beckerman Recreation Center on campus.
