WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- Despite going undefeated in their three matches last week the University of New Haven women's lacrosse team dropped a spot, falling to No. 9 in the latest IWLCA/Under Armour National Poll for Division II.

In the past week UNH garnered victories over Bryant University, Merrimack College and Saint Anselm College.  The Chargers overcame a seven goal deficit to defeat Merrimack, 20-19, thanks to a last minute goal from Kristine Lambracht.  On Sunday, Ashley Ferrandiz found the back of the net in the first overtime period to escape with an 18-17 win over Saint Anselm College.

Brigid Brady (photo) led the Chargers in those three games with 18 points (17g, 1a).  Ashley Ferrandiz (10g, 5a) and Kristine Lambracht (10g, 1a) were also big contributors for UNH in the last week.

The Chargers take on Bentley College and celebrate Senior Day this Thursday at 4:00 p.m. on Kayo Field.
