Three goals in a seven minute span would get Franklin Pierce within three, but UNH would score nine of the last ten first-half goals leading the Chargers to a 15-4 half-time advantage.
Franklin Pierce started off the second half with purpose, tallying four goals inside of the first 12 minutes. But UNH would up the pressure in the last fifteen minutes adding five goals to their total in the back half of the period.
Mallory Ferrandiz put an exclamation point on the victory with her final goal of the match just six minutes from the finish. She scored in spectacular fashion on a quick shot directly off a pass from
Heather Miles
who was positioned behind the goal.
Up next for UNH is a home match-up with Bryant University on Monday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. on Kayo Field. Later in the week they travel to Merrimack and Saint Anselm for two more non-conferences games.
