WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- Tommy Musto logged 19 kills on .483 hitting to power the University of New Haven men's volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Baruch College on Thursday night at Charger Gymnasium. UNH won by scores of 30-25, 30-19 and 30-26.
Musto led all players with a season-high 19 kills, adding 14 digs for his second double-double of the season. UNH improves to 9-8 with the victory.
Chris Lennon logged his sixth triple-double of the season, and second in a row, with 12 kills, 17 assists and 10 digs. Matthew Soderstrom (.583 hitting), Drew Kirkeby and Peter Kazlas (.500 hitting) all had eight kills. Austin Michalski recorded 29 assists and six digs.
Baruch (17-8) got 14 kills from Danial Levent, but the Bearcats hit just .124 in the match. They opened the match with a .333 mark in the first game, but hit -.079 in the second and .196 in the third.
UNH resumes Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association play at home next Tuesday, March 11 vs. Rutgers University-Newark.
