CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. -- University of New Haven junior forward Lauren Hood was named East Coast Conference Women's Basketball Baden Co-Player of the Week on Monday. The award covers games from February 18-24.
It is Hood's third Player of the Week award this season, and she shared the honor with Queens College's Jennifer Robbins.
Hood averaged 17.5 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting .545 in a 2-0 ECC week for the Chargers. She notched 21 points (10-15 fg) with seven rebounds in a win over Dowling and added 14 points and five rebounds in a win at second-place C.W. Post.
Hood and the Chargers close out the regular season this Saturday, March 1 at St. Thomas Aquinas. They will host the eighth seed in an ECC quarterfinal round matchup on Wednesday, March 5 at 7:00 p.m.
