NASHUA, N.H. -- Chris Lennon led the way with 25 kills and 27 assists, but the University of New Haven men's volleyball team dropped its first match of the season on Monday night, 3-1 to Rivier College. UNH lost by scores of 18-30, 30-28, 28-30 and 33-35.
The Chargers are now 2-1 on the season after opening with back-to-back five-game wins over Lasell and Endicott at home.
Along with his 25 kills and 27 assists, Lennon also contributed six blocks. Tommy Musto (photo) finished the match with 14 kills and two blocks, while Peter Kazlas had 10 kills, 2 blocks.
Rivier is now 5-6 and has won four of its last five matches.
Full statistics of the match were not immediately available.
UNH continues non-conference play on Tuesday night at SUNY New Paltz.
