WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- The University of New Haven Department of Athletics will host an all-sports clinic at Charger Gymnasium this Saturday, February 9 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The clinic, in honor of the 22nd Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD), is free and open to girls in elementary or middle school.
The clinic will feature coaches and student-athletes from each of the Chargers' nine varsity women's sports programs plus members of the Charger cheerleading squad. All participants will receive a free NGWSD t-shirt as well as instruction in a variety of sports.
Participants in the clinic and accompanying adults will also receive free admission to the UNH Women's Basketball THINK PINK game vs. Molloy later that day (2:00 p.m.).

This has become an annual event at the University of New Haven, which has been conducting NGWSD clinics for over 10 years. The event is a part of UNH Athletics' Community Engagment program, designed to bring members of surrounding towns and cities onto the UNH campus for a variety of enrichment programs. The NGWSD all-sports clinic precedes the week's biggest community engagement event, THINK PINK day at Charger Gymnasium, with proceeds going to benefit Hospital of St. Raphael’s Father J. McGivney Center for Cancer Care.
