Women’s Basketball Set to Tip-Off 2009-10!
(11-13-09) WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The 2009-10 University of New Haven women's basketball team returns nine players that competed in the Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) for the first time a season ago. Three seniors, five juniors and one sophomore helped guide the Chargers to a first round upset in the 2008-09 NE-10 Championship Tournament and a 16-13 overall record. Five freshmen complete the Chargers' 14-player roster this season.

Men's Basketball Set to Start 2009-10 Campaign!

Coming off their first season in the prestigious Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10), the Chargers posted an 8-19 overall record, including a 6-16 record in the NE-10 under fifth-year head coach Al Seibert. With three seniors on the roster, Coach Seibert will graduate his first recruiting class following the 2009-10 season.

Women's Soccer Rallies in Overtime to Win 4-3 at Adelphi
(10-20-09) GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The University of New Haven women's soccer team rallied with three goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation and scored the game-winning goal in the 98th minute Tuesday night against Adelphi University. Charger Football Officially Underway; Men's and Women's Soccer and Volleyball Begin Friday!
(08-12-09) WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven football team officially reported for fall preseason practices on Monday. Practices and meetings began on Tuesday and the team will have their first double session on Sunday, August 16. The remaining fall sports begin practices later this week and the first fall contest takes place on Thursday, August 27 when the women's soccer team travels to Post University.

For the past three years, the Student Athlete Advisory Committee has given its gift of time to help the Child Life Program at YNHH and put on a holiday party for the kids in the hospital.

Chargers Drop Season Finale Against Felician
(10-30-08) WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven men's soccer team wrapped up its 2008 season with a 3-0 loss against Felician College at Kayo Field. The Chargers end its season with a 4-14-0 record overall (3-10 Northeast-10) and the Golden Falcons move to 6-10-1.

Women's Volleyball and SAAC to Host Halloween Costume Contest
(10-30-08) WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be hosting a Bump, Set, BOOM! promotion at the women's volleyball match against Dowling College on Friday, October 31. As part of the promotion, SAAC is having a Halloween costume contest which all fans are encouraged to participate in.

Top Ranked UNH Volleyball Wins 20th of the Season
(10-29-08) WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven women's volleyball team defeated the visiting Assumption College Greyhounds 3-0 (25-20, 25-11, 25-17) Wednesday night in the team's 20th victory of the season. The Chargers improve to 20-3 overall and a perfect 10-0 in the Northeast-10 Conference, while the Greyhounds fall to 3-14 overall and 1-11 in the NE-10.

Hilaire Joins Teammates on Senior Day!
(10-25-08) WEST HAVEN, Conn. - University of New Haven men's soccer player James Hilaire returned to Kayo Field Saturday afternoon for the first time since he suffered a head injury in a game on September 23 against Merrimack College. Saturday was Senior Day for the Chargers who recognized the team's four seniors, including Hilaire, prior to their game against the College of St. Rose.

Cross Country Competes in NE-10 Championships; Men Finish 8th, Women 10th
(10-25-08) COLCHESTER, Vt - The University of New Haven men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Northeast-10 Cross Country Championships on Saturday hosted by Saint Michael's College. The men's team totaled 214 team points en route to an eighth place finish, while the women's team totaled 248 team points to finish 10th.

Stay Up-To-Date on James Hilaire's Condition and News
A web site has been created to keep the University community up-to-date on the condition of UNH soccer goalie and team leader James Hilaire who suffered a serious injury after a collision with an opposing player during a game Wednesday, Sept. 24 against Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. The site also allows well wishers to send an e-mail to James' family. James is now a patient at Boston Medical Center, the primary teaching affiliate for the Boston University School of Medicine. The hospital has the largest 24-hour Level 1 trauma center in New England.
