Schedule Downloads

If you use Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2003, or XP, you can download and install University of New Haven athletic schedules into your own calendar!

If you have a handheld device that uses Microsoft Outlook for its calendar function, and can sync with your personal computer or e-mail server, you can bring the Charger schedules with you wherever you go!

Schedules currently available for download appear in the list below. Step-by-step instructions for importing the schedules into Outlook follow.

If you are having trouble using these importable schedules, you can e-mail Andy Beardsley at abeardsley@newhaven.edu

DOWNLOADABLE SCHEDULES (See instructions below)

Notes about these schedules:

1.) The downloadable schedules are updated as of the date listed. We will update these schedules as changes occur, but when in doubt ALWAYS defer to the time listed on the UNH Athletics web site.

2.) The default "ending" time that will appear in your calendar is an estimate based on the scheduled start time. The event may be longer or shorter than the listed ending time. All times listed are local to the game site and corresponding time zone.

3.) There are reminders automatically set to remind you about each HOME game or match, 15 minutes prior. You may change or remove these manually after importing these files.

4.) For events where no start time is available, for example NCAA or other postseason competitions, these events will show up in your calendar as an "All Day Event".

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING SCHEDULES TO YOUR OUTLOOK CALENDAR

You may want to print this page before attempting to import the schedules so that you can reference these instructions during the process.

STEP 1: To download the file, right-click on the one of the schedules in the list above and choose Save Target As ... or Save to Disk. Put the file in a location that will be easy for you to remember.

STEP 2: After downloading the file, open Outlook and follow these directions for importing it into your calendar:

  • Select the File > Import and Export ... menu option.
  • Select "Import from another program or file" and click Next.
  • Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" and click Next.
  • In the File to Import box, find the CSV file that you downloaded in Step 1 (calendarname.csv), and below select "Do not import duplicate items". Then click Next.
  • Under select destination folder, choose Calendar and click Next.
  • The next window will have a title that says 'The following actions will be performed:' above an option to 'Import "calendarname.csv" into folder: Calendar.' Make sure that box is check-marked (if not, check that box), and and click Finish. **Advanced users may change the import settings at this point if they wish by hitting "Map Custom Fields".**

For many users, the following will not show up. You can skip to Step 3 below. For older Outlook programs the following step may appear automatically.  If the fields do not match up, go to the section labeled 'Additional Setup.'.

  • ADDITIONAL SETUP (may not be necessary for all users)
From there, click and drag needed fields from the left window into the right window. Its fairly self-explanatory, but the basic corresponding fields are below:
    SUBJECT to Subject
    START_DATE to Start Date
    START_TIME to Start Time
    END_TIME to End Time
    DESCRIPTION to Description
    LOCATION to Location
SHOW TIME AS to Show time as
ALL DAY EVENT to All Day Event
  • Click OK
  • Then Click Finish

All events for the selected calendar should now be added to your Outlook Calendar.

Step 3: Synchronize your Palm or other handheld device to your computer. If your handheld device syncs automatically with your e-mail and calendar, then the events should appear on your handheld device's calendar in a few minutes (the next time your device auto-syncs).
