Athletic Training

The Sports Medicine Department and its staff are responsible for the prevention, care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for student-athletes on 17 intercollegiate teams.  The Athletic Training Room (ATR) is located on the bottom floor of Charger Gymnasium.

The University of New Haven Sports Medicine staff consists of certified members of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), which is the official governing body established in the United States to promote and advance the athletic training profession.

The athletic trainers at UNH provide year-round conditioning programs, nutritional guidance, comprehensive rehabilitation programs, and referral services.  The fitness center, newly remodeled with the latest strength and conditioning equipment, helps accelerate athletes’ return to competition from injury.

Check out all the links to the left for more information about the athletic training room schedule and policies, ATR staff, medical clearance forms, visiting team information, and tips on nutrition for student-athletes.
