The University of New Haven sponsors 17 varsity sports (8 men's, 9 women's), which compete at the NCAA Division II level in the East Coast Conference. Men's volleyball competes in the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA), which is comprised of teams from all three NCAA divisions.
In 2008, UNH will become a member of the Northeast-10 Conference, an academically- and athletically-prestigious conference of schools that is one of the largest and most-successful in the nation. Football will be re-instated as a varsity sport for the fall of 2009, becoming the school's 18th varsity program.
Our athletic teams have experienced many great successes, consistently posting winning seasons and advancing in conference and NCAA tournaments. UNH student-athletes are consistently at the top of their game, in their chosen sport and in the classroom.
But it’s about more than just scores and grades. Perhaps our greatest success is the consistency with which our athletic programs turn out well-rounded, accomplished, and motivated graduates.
