WNHU

WNHU is the University of New Haven's award-winning radio station, broadcasting at 88.7 FM from a 1,700 watt transmitter on campus.

WNHU provides a vital connection to the cities and towns we serve, and embraces the University's mission to provide "...the highest-quality education through experiential, collaborative and discovery-based learning".

The station was founded as a student club in 1973, and features an eclectic mix of music and conversation from over 100 volunteer student and community DJs.

Our state of the art facilities are located in the Lois Evalyn Bergami Broadcast Media Center at 46 Ruden Street, and include production space for live and recorded programming, a server room, student offices and a staff lounge.

WNHU is managed by long time Connecticut radio personality Bruce Barber, who co-hosted the popular "Smith and Barber the Morning Show" on WPLR from 1985 to 2003, and is currently the evening host on WNPR. (Bruce produces his WNPR station breaks in WNHU’s Studio B.)

We hope you'll tune in!
