Students of the University of New Haven environmental science program gain exposure to career possibilities in organizations such as industry and government agencies, consulting firms, conservation and advocacy groups, law firms, insurance companies, and educational institutions.
University of New Haven graduates have been successful in pursuing careers in environmental science as technical experts, field workers, administrators, managers, and analysts at dozens of environmental consulting firms and with organizations such as United Technologies, the U.S. Geological Survey, the Connecticut DEP and DOT, the Nature Conservancy, and the National Audubon Society. Graduates of the environmental science program have also been employed by regional planning agencies, educational institutions, and cooperative extension services.
Our graduates who wished to pursue advanced degrees in environmental science have successfully completed M.S. and Ph.D programs at the University of New Haven and at other institutions.
