The Visual Arts Department participates in the cooperative education program, which enables students to combine their education with an internship. Art interns serve at corporate design facilities and local printing firms. The Visual Arts faculty work diligently to match each student to an internship appropriate to his or her skills and career goals. Alumni are employed at leading design studios, advertising agencies, and publishing companies.

By exposing students to a wide variety of critical skills and approaches while encouraging them to develop their own creative talents and style, the B.A. in art prepares students for graduate study in art and art-related fields.
