April 4-7, 2013: Black and Latino Alumni Weekend

Save the date for Black and Latino Alumni Weekend, featuring the 40th anniversary celebration of the Black Student Union, April 4 - 7, 2013. Sponsored by the student cultural clubs and organizations at UNH, the weekend includes events which showcase, promote,  and educate students, faculty, staff and visiting alumni on the various cultures they represent. Proceeds from the weekend benefit the Sankofa Scholarship to be awarded to an incoming freshman to the University in the near future. April 21-13, 2013: Department of Athletics Alumni Weekend

The University of New Haven Department of Athletics is proud to mark the 30th anniversary of its Hall of Fame with the announcement of the Class of 2013. The class includes seven individuals representing five sports. The group will be enshrined at the 30th Annual Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Anthony's Ocean View in New Haven at 6 p.m. The 30th Anniversary induction class is comprised of Jim Ferguson (baseball), Pat Fitzpatrick (football), Mike Forte (football), Debbie Moore (women's basketball), Major Ruth (men's track & field), Alec Zarnowski (baseball) and Edward Zimmitti (men's soccer). April 20, 2013: 30th Anniversary Alumni Scholarship Ball

This signature event is the University’s primary scholarship fund-raising initiative. Attended by over 300 guests each year, the Scholarship Ball celebrates the accomplishments of distinguished alumni and raises critical scholarship funds for deserving students who otherwise would not be able to pursue their dreams of earning a college education. Last year, the Scholarship Ball raised over $500,000, which directly benefited scholarships and programs that support our students. To date, the event has generated nearly $4 million dollars.
