Marine Biology Enhanced Visits

The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of New Haven is proud to host Enhanced Visits on select Fridays for our extremely popular marine biology program! These visits will allow prospective students to meet with faculty members and students, attend a marine biology class, and truly experience a "day in the life" of a marine biology major.

The Enhanced Visit program allows prospective students to get an up-close look at our Marine Biology program. In addition to an admissions overview, these visits include a field experience where prospective students participate in a current Introduction to Marine Biology course. Since prospective students will be attending an actual course, we only have room for 8 students for each date. In addition, participation in the course is limited to just the prospective students. Family members can attend the information session and overview then rejoin their student after the field experience for lunch and a campus tour. While students are in the field, family members can choose to meet with one of our admission counselors, or they can step off campus for an hour to explore the area. The visit lasts approximately five hours.

Register for an Enhanced Visit by clicking on the date you wish to attend below. Marine Biology Enhanced Visits occur on select Fridays throughout the academic year. Our program is one of the most popular in the entire country and our enhanced visits tend to fill up quickly.  If you have any questions, please contact Megan Kolis, Assistant Director of Events and Campus Visitation, at (475) 355-0086, or send an email to mkolis@newhaven.edu.
