The University of New Haven has expanded our content creation and delivery options by becoming an iTunes U site. This will make audio and video material more easily available to you for use on your computer, iPod and other media devices!
What do you need? iTunes. If you do not have iTunes, downloading and installing Apple's iTunes software is easy.
To get started, go to www.newhaven.edu/itunesu to visit the University of New Haven's own site at Apple's iTunes Store.
Here are the step-by-step instructions:
If iTunes was not installed, run the file that downloads to your desktop (for Windows users it will be iTunesSetup.exe and for Mac users iTunes.dmg). When the installation is finished, launch iTunes.
With iTunes installed, open up any web browser and go to www.newhaven.edu/itunesu. You'll be taken directly to the University of New Haven's iTunes U site, where you can choose any of the publicly posted content.
Each category has its own "series" of material (tracks); when you click on a series you will see a complete listing of tracks available. There are three ways to download files:
1) To download a single file, click the "Get..." button to the right of its listing
2) To download all current files, click the "Get Tracks" button next to the photo
3) To download all current files AND have all future files automatically downloaded for you, click the "Subscribe" button next to the photo.
Once your files have downloaded into iTunes, open the University of New Haven playlist in the lefthand column and choose an episode to play. If you have an iPod, you can chose to download the content to it by managing the playlists it loads from. Simply connect the iPod.
