Criminal Justice-Juvenile and Family Justice

The Juvenile & Family Justice concentration of Criminal Justice at UNH prepares students for careers with federal, state, local, and private correctional agencies and with service agencies whose mission brings them into regular contact with the justice system. The curriculum is geared to preparing service providers with knowledge of the law and of social and behavioral sciences.

In addition, communication skills with children, adolescents, and people of diverse cultural backgrounds are emphasized. Some courses include Correctional Treatment Programs, Juvenile Justice System, Child and Family Intervention Strategies, Adult Intervention Strategies, and Victimology.
