Art

Because art is a serious process of interpreting the world in ways that have meaning, value, and purpose; the UNH College of Arts and Sciences takes an approach to teaching art as not only a form of self expression, but also an avenue for communication, flexible thinking, a way of finding new approaches to old ideas, and generating original approaches to problem solving.

Students pursuing a degree in art are immersed in a challenging and creative environment, taking advantage of a curriculum that integrates state-of-the-art digital design technology and computer art with basic drawing and painting skills.  In addition, students are encouraged to discover their potential for creative expression by developing a personal idiom of their own choosing, including painting, sculpture, drawing, and printmaking.
