For a smaller-sized campus with just about 4,200 undergraduate students, the University of New Haven offers a lot of variety! Not just when it comes to the nearly 100 academic programs or growing list of clubs, organizations and teams, but also in campus dining. Whether you are in the mood for some home-style cooking, contemporary cuisine, or just a quick grab from one of our cafes, we cater to all of your cravings!
Our main dining facility, the Marketplace, offers students all-you-can-eat buffet options at breakfast and dinner, with an á la carte lunch menu. Choose from hot and cold cereals, sandwiches, yogurts, fresh fruits, and even an omelet station for breakfast! During lunch you can choose from pizzas, a chopped salad bar, deli wraps and paninis, chicken fingers, or even sushi rolls! Our vegan and vegetarian options allow you to sample some delicious pasta creations, roasted vegetables, stuffed Portobello caps, and delicious hummus and tapenades, to name a few.
Students can also sit down to eat a meal in any of our other dining locations on campus including: Sandella’s for quesadillas, paninis and pizzas; Pandini’s for scrumptious Italian fare, featuring Caesar salad labrettis, pizzas, and strombollis; and Grill 155 for buffalo wings, mushroom swiss burgers, and chicken sandwiches. Our business students manage Jeffrey’s Fusion Dining, our campus restaurant open for lunch and dinner on Wednesdays, and also the Hazell Nut Café, where students can bite into a seared salmon sandwich or sip a mug of specialty coffee.
We realize that college students are often on the go, from classes to club meetings to cheering on the sports teams at our North Campus. If a sit-down meal is not an option, grab a quick bite from Jazzman’s or the Charger Café. These locations offer café-style food as well as prepared options already wrapped and ready to toss into your bag! At the C-Store, our campus grocery store, students can grab bacon and a carton of eggs, cupcake mix and frosting, or anything else they may want to cook up in the kitchen of their residence halls. And don’t forget to grab a nutritious and delicious smoothie from NRgize in the Beckerman Recreation Center after your yoga class or lifting session!
Whether you are a wing-eating champion, looking to sip a crème brulee latte, craving a gluten-free sandwich, or wanting to chomp into a tofu stir-fry, we offer it all at the University of New Haven! I hope you did not read this on an empty stomach…
