Summer Entrepreneurship & Innovation Academy

Innovation is the cornerstone of economic development and growth.

Technological innovation along with the impact of the digital economy has significantly altered and markets as well as new product development and services.

This program is a week-long (five-day) program designed to introduce high school students to the fundamentals of leadership and methods for harnessing inspiration and innovation as a pathway to product development and entrepreneurship while fostering critical thinking, decision-making skills, and creativity.

Upon completion of this program, students will have an understanding of:

  • Problem Identification
  • Solution ideation
  • Customer discovery and engagement
  • Strategy
  • Tactics
  • Business models, scaling and monetization
  • Product development and marketing
  • Intellectual property and its protection

Upon successful completion of this program, students will earn 3 college credits from the University of New Haven.*

Requirements: Must be entering 9th-12th grades for the 2020-21 school year.
