Pre-Arrival Guide for International Graduate Students (Spring/April 2013 Term)

The entire UNH community is looking forward to your arrival. Orientation for new international graduate students begins on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Moulton Lounge in Bartels Hall. You must make proper travel arrangements to ensure your arrival at the University at 8:30 in the morning on Wednesday, March 27, 2013.
   
1. Apply for a Student Visa and Confirm your Attendance at UNH
  • Pay the $200 SEVIS fee PRIOR to your Visa Interview.
  • Apply for an F-1 Student Visa at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in your Country.
  • AFTER you Obtain your F-1 Student Visa, Send us an E-mail to Reserve your Academic Seat and to Confirm your Attendance at UNH.  Confirmation Deadline is March 10, 2013.
2. How to get to UNH When You First Arrive in the USA
  • Take the Shuttle Bus from New York Airports to UNH.
  • Driving Directions to UNH. 
  • Take the Bus or Train to UNH.
3. Housing and Living Arrangements
  • Apartments near UNH.
  • Hotels Near UNH.
4. Steps To Take When You First Arrive on the UNH Campus
  • Visit the International Services Office (ISO) in Echlin Hall, 2nd Floor, Room 200.
  • Present Your Final, Official Bachelor's Degree Transcripts and Proof of Graduation to the Office of International Graduate Admissions In Echlin Hall, Room 219.
5. Steps To Register and Pay for Classes
  • Attend the International Graduate Student Orientation and Registration (IGOR) Program at 8:30 a.m. on March 27, 2013 . This program is MANDATORY for all New International Students and you MUST Attend ALL the Program Sessions.
  • Bring your passport, visa, I-94 card, original I-20or DS-2019 forms for you and your dependents when you attend the IGOR program.
  • Meet your Academic Advisor to Select your Spring 2013 Courses.  Remember to Bring your Acceptance Letter 1+2 when you Meet with your Advisor.
  • Register for Your Classes Online Using the Matrix Registration System.
  • Pay your First Trimester Charges of $7760 on March 27, 2013.
  • Submit your Health Examination Report to the Health Services Office on March 27th 2013. It's MANDATORY for all New Students.
  • Obtain Your UNH Student Identification Card.
  • Once you've Completed all of the Above Mentioned Steps, You Will Able to Start your Spring 2013 Classes.
