About the University of New Haven

The University of New Haven is a private urban coeducational university enrolling approximately 3200 students of whom 300 are international students from more than 50 countries. The student population is divided among undergraduate day and evening students and graduate students. 

Dynamic growth and continuous development are high priorities at UNH. We specialize in meeting the needs of students for today's highly secialized and technical world. The university offers degrees in five colleges:

Within the five colleges, the university offers over 80 undergraduate and more than 20 graduate degree programs in 125 areas of study.
 

UNH is located in south central Connecticut between New York city and Boston, Massachusetts. The Campus is situated on 77 acres of land in West Haven, Connecticut, overlooking Long Island Sound and the city of New Haven. It is easly accessible by car, air bus and train service. New Haven, just 10 minutes away, is a city where arts and cultural activities flourish and coexist with science and business.

Temperatures range from 20º Fahrenheit (-7º Celcius) in the winter to 85º Fahrenheit (25º Celcius) in the summer.
