The University of New Haven offers more than 100 graduate degree and certificate programs to help prepare students for success in their careers and their lives. Campus visits from the likes of IBM, Chase Manhattan Bank, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and others, provide students a chance to interview for career opportunities, and it is the sixth year in a row The Princeton Review has included the University in its annual ratings of the top colleges and universities. The Review even included the University in its listing of "The 389 Best Colleges" in the country.

The University is located in the beachside New England town of West Haven, Connecticut, minutes from a historic downtown center and only a two-hour train ride to either New York City or Boston. New Haven is known for its world-class cultural, entertainment, and food offerings.

Programs & Curriculum

Nearly 5,000 graduate students are earning advanced degrees at the University of New Haven in the fields of Engineering, Public Safety, Business, and the Arts and Sciences. With a student-faculty ratio of 16:1 and small class sizes, students are guaranteed ample opportunity for engagement, contact, and collaboration with professors.

The University of New Haven offers more than 50 master's degree programs through the College of Arts & Sciences, Pompea College of Business, Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice & Forensic Sciences, Tagliatela College of Engineering, and School of Health Sciences. We also offer doctoral degrees in areas like Criminal Justice and Health Sciences.

A number of our programs are accredited or have received high rankings nationally:

  • The M.S. in Forensic Science is accredited by the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission
  • Healthcare Administration is the only program in Connecticut − and one of just four in New England − accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education

Hands-On Application

The University of New Haven is a recognized leader in High Impact Education; our graduate students work closely with highly-experienced and engaged faculty in a collaborative environment meant to bring out the best in all parties.

Our graduate school follows a semester schedule, with courses generally held in the evenings, offering flexibility for those continuing to work while pursuing their studies. Students in our online master's programs take courses during 7.5 week accelerated modules.

Scholarships

The University of New Haven offers merit-based scholarships for eligible full-time domestic and international graduate students. Students will automatically be considered for these awards upon completion of their entire application process.

The Provost's Assistantship is offered to our highest-achieving incoming graduate students, offering 15-20 hours per week of work experience (as research or teaching assistants) for an hourly wage and 75 percent tuition assistance.

The Dean's Scholarship Program for full-time master's students provides up to 50 percent tuition assistance during enrollment at the University.
