Medical Records & Health Insurance

All students at the university are required to purchase the university's health insurance plan to protect against the high costs of medical care in the United States. The cost of insurance which is determined yearly is billed to each student along with the tuition charges. The benefits provide 24-hour coverage on and off campus for medical care incurred as a result of accident or illness. However, this coverage will not cover 100% of all medical expenses you may incur. Also, you may need to purchase separate insurance for your spouse and children, which may be very costly. Please be aware that no dental coverage is included in this policy.

All international students must complete the university's Health Form prior to enrolling at the university. All students must also comply with Connecticut state law concerning immunization.

Two registered nurses and two part time physicians provide initial care for minor injuries and illnesses, as well as follow up care for more serious conditions. These services are available to all students, free of charge.
