UNH Southeastern Successfully Kicks off Project Management Certificate Program

Article Body

The University of New Haven's Southeastern Campus recently kicked off its newest program, a non credit Project Management Certificate, on Wednesday, September 30, 2009.

The program consists of five six-week modules, providing a solid educational foundation for individuals looking to gain project management skills to increase their effectiveness and efficiencies in project scheduling and other project management processes. Topics include: project framework & lifecycle, project initiation, team effectiveness and leadership, project scope, activity sequencing, estimating resources, developing the project schedule, risk management, quality management, project execution, quality control, managing project teams, and more.

The program is already a successful and popular program with local professionals seeking skill-building programs, and will be re-offered in September/October 2010.

Prospective students who missed the opportunity to jump into the first module still have the option to jump into the second or future modules, provided they have some Project Management experience, as the first module is the prerequisite for the rest of the offerings.

Interested individuals looking for more information on the program and how to register for the second or future modules, which starts November 11, 2009, should visit the following website: http://www.newhaven.edu/project or email SECampus@newhaven.edu or call 860-701-5454 with questions.
