The University of New Haven offers a number of convenient course scheduling options for working students.
Cohort Degree Schedules
Some programs in the Graduate School are offered in a cohort delivery format. A cohort is a group of students that follows the same set schedule and progresses through a program together. The unique scheduling, along with small class sizes, promotes an interactive learning environment and facilitates networking opportunities and career strengthening relationships. Programs are offered in the cohort delivery format in West Haven, New London, and Shelton, Connecticut. The cohort delivery format is designed for busy working professionals.
Traditional Part-Time Graduate Schedules
Courses in the Graduate School at UNH are offered on a convenient trimester schedule. Each trimester is 13 weeks in length and new trimesters begin in September, January, and April. An abbreviated summer term is also available. The trimester schedule allows you to accelerate degree completion by completing three full terms in one year instead of two in a semester schedule. Part-time students can complete up to six credits (one or two courses) per term. Please note: To be eligible for financial aid, students must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits per trimester. Most graduate courses are offered one night per week from 6:00pm to 9:05pm. Some courses are also offered in a weekend format and online.
Part-time Undergraduate Schedules
A number of undergraduate degree programs may be completed on a fully evening schedule. Some programs are also available in an accelerated format.
