Welcome
Dear UNH Graduate Students,
As graduate students at the University of New Haven, you are all members of the Graduate Student Council; entitled to give input, attend meetings, and come to our many events throughout the year.
Our council has four committees: social events, community service, professional development, and public relations. Throughout the year we host social events (ex., GradBash2011, a day trip to Boston, a ski trip in the winter...); community service initiatives (ex., food and clothing drives, habitat for humanity trips, walk-a-thons for various causes...); and professional development events (ex., Microsoft Office and resume-building workshops...). Any ideas for future events are always welcome.
We hold meetings every other Wednesday for the graduate student body (beginning the first Wednesday of the trimester), where we discuss current and upcoming events, ask for input from members, have University departments come to share their information, and always offer free dinner.
If you are interested in getting involved and having a say in your grad school experience, attend our bi-weekly meetings and consider joining one of the committees.
I look forward to meeting you on campus!
Sincerely,
Amanda Ruzicka
