Opening Night for “On the Rocks with a Twist” was last night! We didn’t have a huge turnout but our performance was AMAZING! The night consisted of 6 ten minute plays. I was in the third one, Foreplay! It was hectic getting it all together. Our cast had about 4 practices where the whole cast was together, it was crazy. We pretty much got the play together in a week. I must say I am extremely proud of my cast and myself of being able to pull it off! We still have two more performances, tonight and tomorrow night! We’re going to continue to do a great job, I just know it!
Other than that I have mainly been cleaning! Final Room Inspections are tomorrow and of course no one cleans in my room. Word of advice to all you guys, keep your rooms clean!!!!! So I just spent the last two hours cleaning my room, well most of it. My roommates are cleaning their own laundry and desks, I am not touching that!! So my portion of the room looks very nice and neat! That is pretty much it though, nothing really exciting going on..just that it’s coming close to the end of the year and I am so excited! Good-Bye School, Hello Summer :-)
Wow! This week is extremely busy for me! Once again I have a theatre production Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of this week! That means starting tonight I will be practicing in Dodds Auditorium till about midnight! On top of that, I have a paper to write for Arabic, in Arabic! Also, finals start the end of next week! The dreaded post test that all English students have to take to pass English is on Thursday, May 14th. Students always stress over this test, but in the end they find that they have all passed! I just cannot wait for that last final to end and I can begin my summer. I will be going home for a week and then coming right back to campus because the Admissions Office offered me a job to work with them all summer! That will be lots of fun since I love everyone in the Admissions Office! It definitely helps to get involved on campus and make yourself known so that people do recognize you and will grant you these types of opportunities!
For now I am just studying my lines and my work for classes! TTYS! :-D
Friday Night I could not sleep. I was so excited to go home. My boyfriend and I drove up to my cousin’s house in Methuen, Ma for their son’s 1st Holy Communion. Before we went there though we stopped in Newburyport and walked around downtown. The weather was gorgeous, except the fact that I was sitting in a hot car baking for the most part. I got sunburn on one of my arms and one of my legs because the sun only hit the right side of my body. LOL. Once we got to Methuen, we got to have a lot of fun! I absolutely love my little cousins so we were just running around all day playing with the balls. It was also just great seeing my family who I don’t get to see often. This past was just very stressful for me. My play goes on in a little over a week and we are no where ready to perform it. We are still trying to nail our lines straight. So what is a better way to relieve stress than to pay a nice visit home, and that is exactly what I did. The weather was beautiful!!!!
Other than that, nothing really happened this weekend. School is almost finished which is nice, but at the same time nerve-racking because that means finals are coming!!! So yayyy to studying!
