This is my last blog…ever. I just took my last exam of my undergraduate career here at UNH, and it feels great. Now, it is on to Senior Week activities.
As I look back on my time here at UNH, I have to say that it was everything I expected coming into college and more. It truly was the best four years of my life. I will definitely never forget the people I met here and the friends I have made.
It was really sad this past week as I took down all the posters and pictures in my room, and cleaned out my desk. It was weird not having to go to class anymore, knowing that I will never be in an undergraduate class again. It was also weird not having to go to work anymore after going to work everyday for the past two years.
I have no idea what I am going to do now…I need to have surgery on my arm again because I broke a screw that is holding part of my elbow together. So, that throws my summer out the window, and puts a big kink in the job search. But, I know something will turn up.
I hope everyone has a fun and safe summer! Good luck with everything!
What has been going on? It has been a very long time since I have written a blog. Basically, I shattered my elbow a week and a half before spring break. I was playing hockey in the rec center on campus, and I was hit, fell, landed on my elbow just right and boom, I shattered it. I spent 5 days in the hospital, and then I had a little extended spring break. I am just getting back into the swing of things again, so sorry again for taking so long on writing the blog. Things have been winding down here on campus. There are 38 days until graduation. So I have to get four papers done before then. The NFL released the schedules for this season on Tuesday night. The Patriots open the season at home on Monday Night Football against Terrell Owens and the Buffalo Bills (why they picked him up I don’t know). I’ll talk more about the Patriots later. Rescue Me starring Denis Leary is back on FX, Tuesday nights at 10. It is an awesome show, and Denis has a new book out called Why We Suck, and it is about everything that is wrong in America. It is hysterical how he pokes fun at different things that are going on in today’s world. I suggest you go out and buy it. Well, that’s all I have for today. I’ll try to start blogging on more consistent basis from now on, but I start Physical Therapy on my elbow tomorrow…we’ll see how that goes. Have good one!
What is up on this Monday afternoon? What is up with this weather? Here in West Haven it has been going up and down for like a week now. One day it is really nice and you think that spring is on its way, and the next day it’s snowing again!
Friday night was the last game of the season / senior night for the UNH Hockey Team. The game ended in a 7-4 victory for the Chargers. It was probably the best game I have witnessed all season. There was tons of scoring, some heated exchanges between players, and of course, the fans were crazy cheering for the team.
Last week was also very busy in the Admission’s Office. A lot of high schools had February vacation last week, so we have a ton of prospective students visiting campus. Friday was also the Explore UNH day for Criminal Justice and National Security and the Enhanced Visit for Forensic Science. As an added bonus Dr. Henry Lee was here on campus! It was great to see him on campus, talking to students who are interested in the University of New Haven.
I have got some work to do; I need to get going on my research project so I can graduate on time. Hope everyone has a good day.
