My final Spring Weekend has come to an end. It was certainly a weekend of memories that I'll never forget. The concert was alright; I heard Trey Songz was terrible and Blue Jupiter had a moment, so I'm glad I waited to show up a little later. My buddies went up only to see Third Eye Blind, and we got early enough to see Trapt as well. Boy, was that painful! Trapt was garbage, but the twenty students on campus that like them were having a grand-old-time, so more power to them. Third Eye Blind was fantastic, and they were humbled by how popular they are even though it's been a few years since they've released an album. Sure enough, the concert was good timing for them to announce the release of their fourth album coming out in the summer.
The Carnival was so-so. The food was decent, but after four years of the same carnival it did get a little boring. Nonetheless my luck from the MacBook victory is still with me, because I came away with a $50 gift card to iTunes. Yay!
Tonight the school is showing the movie "Gran Torino". I'm not going to watch it just because I'm not up for a movie tonight, but I would have assumed the school would have had a funny movie shown instead of a racially-motivated movie like this. Oh well, I'm sure that'll stir up a little controversy on campus come Monday morning.
Speaking of Monday, Last Man Standing begins. It's a weeklong test of students' will, strength, knowledge, and overall desire to be the proud owner of two-thousand dollars by sometime Friday Night. I came in third last year, and came away with $500, so fingers crossed I come up with a little cash before graduation! Until next time...
